In een radio interview maakte Sheryl Crow bekend dat ze volgend jaar haar laatste album uitbrengt waaraan is meegewerkt door Don Henley, wijlen Johnny Cash, Stevie Nicks, Joe Walsh en Keith Richards. Daarna wil ze nog uitsluitend individuele tracks uitbrengen.

“I made the decision in my head that the record that comes out next year will be my last full album and I’ll just start putting songs out. That feels good to me,” Crow says. “To not spend the time in the studio to make a fully realized conceptual album but just to put out really pertinent songs that feel immediate.”

Sheryl, die een studio boven haar paardenstal bij haar huis in Nashville heeft, bracht onlangs “I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You” met St. Vincent (Annie Clark) uit, het is een vernietigende aanklacht tegen hebzucht en corruptie.
