Tijdens zijn optreden dinsdagavond werd Dustin Lynch door Trace Adkins uitgenodigd om lid te worden van The Grand Ole Opry. De officiële ceremonie vindt op 18 september plaats.

“All the folks at the Grand Ole Opry are very selective,” said Adkins. “We think that Dustin Lynch is going to carry on in that grand tradition.”

“I can’t even talk or I’ll start crying,” said Lynch, who seemed to shed a few tears in talking about the honor. Referring to his team, he said, “I want to say we would not be here if it wasn’t for you guys and girls.”
