Willie Nelson wordt op 6 februari tijdens de Grammy week, die vooruitloopt op de Grammy Awards, onderscheiden door de Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing.

De ceremonie zal de artistieke prestaties en het creatieve genie van de in Texas geboren muzikant vieren, die volgend jaar april 86 jaar zal worden. Sinds 2009 heeft de Wing Producers & Engineers bij deze speciale ceremonie personen geëerd als T Bone Burnett, Jack White, Rick Rubin, Neil Young, Nile Rodgers en anderen. In 2018 waren dit Alicia Keys en Swizz Beatz.
