Van de bluegrass supergroep Band Of Ruhks is vanaf 18 oktober het album “Authentic” verkrijgbaar. “Run Fanny Run”, de 1e single van het album, is geschreven door Ronnie Bowman en Don Rigsby.
Band Of Ruhks bestaat uit Ronnie Bowman (bass, vocals), Brian Fesler (banjo), Don Rigsby (mandoline, vocals) en Kenny Smith (gitaar, vocals). Aan een aantal songs is meegewerkt door Rob Ickes (dobro) en Aubrey Haynie (fiddle).
Ronnie Bowman shares, “It’s a song about a girl who needs to throw down that shotgun… forget about the moonshine… and ‘Run Fanny Run.'” Don Rigsby adds “It was actually the first song Ronnie and I wrote with a mind towards a new Band of Ruhks project. The story is familiar with a little twist.” As an aside Rigsby notes, “My dad had a little dog named Fanny and she was where the name came from.”
