The Country Music Association heeft vandaag de genomineerden voor de CMA Awards gepubliceerd.
Country nieuwkomer Lainey Wilson verdiende zes nominaties en is de vierde country artiest in de geschiedenis die zes nominaties verdiende in hun eerste jaar bij de CMA-stemrondes. Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Chris Stapleton en hit songwriter Shane McAnally verdienden elk vijf nominaties. Miranda Lambert’s album “Palomino” uit 2021 hielp haar drie nominaties te verdienen, waaronder Album Of The Year en Female Artist Of The Year. Ze is ook genomineerd voor Entertainer Of The Year evenals Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood en Morgan Wallen, de laatste is voor het eerst in zijn carrière genomineerd in die categorie. In 2021 mocht Wallen de CMA Awards-ceremonie van 2021 niet bijwonen nadat hij was gefilmd terwijl hij een racistische uitlating schreeuwde.
Op 9 november worden de winnaars tijdens de 56ste CMA Awards show bekendgemaakt via ABC.
