Luther Dickinson, medeoprichter van de North Mississippi Allstars, brengt op 29 maart het album “Solstice” uit met daarop gastoptredens van o.a. Amy Helm, Amy LaVere, Birds of Chicago, Sharde Thomas en gospel artiesten Como Mamas.

De 12 tracks van het album zijn opgenomen door Dickinson in de Zebra Ranch Studio van zijn familie in Mississippi en omvatten een divers assortiment van originelen en covers, met de nadruk op verkenning en samenwerking.

“We believe music is a celebration of life, and folk music an expression of community and family,” says Dickinson in a statement. “Solstice is an artifact of our new friendship and musical fellowship.”
